The MRS fall meeting had more than 1,000 attendees for 4 days.
We had 60+ visitors at our booth in total. This number is more than we expected. Most visitors were interested in our tools, especially unique diamond knives and Karate Groover. It sounds promising in the future business and development. We really hope many people will use our useful items at their researches and observations very soon. |

Many visitors told us “This is what I wanted to have!” We are very glad to hear those comments. It is a kind of serendipity when you visit somewhere and find something new that you didn’t really look for. It’s really hard to design products by customers’ requests. A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them. Syntek can’t just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new. Even so, we always make an effort to create the new product that is in your mind from now on. |

We are going to exhibit at another conference between 28th of November and 3rd of December 2022 in Boston, USA. This is the MRS(Material Research Society) Fall Meeting at Hynes Convention Center in downtown. If you are willing to be there, it would be great. We welcome you at our booth No. 1002. |
You may think the climate on the East Coast is not so comfortable in winter time.
Even so, Boston is one of the places worth visiting.
This is the first time to exhibit in this field for us, but we wanted to show our knives to material science people because our Histo and Trimming knives are evaluated by those people in Japan by their toughness and longevity.
If your diamond knives don’t last such a long time due to your samples’ hardness, why don’t you try ours?
We are supposed to say that most of the attendees don’t know our name and knives at this moment.
If our guess is true, it is a very good opportunity to introduce ours to them.
We have only upward momentum in this material market.

The conference itself had about 130 attendees for 2 days.
We had 30+ visitors at our booth in total. Almost all of them were interested in our products, especially GHP and Karate Groover. We got better feedback than we expected. Hope many people will use our useful knives and other tools at their laboratories in the near future. |

As you might know, Jeju Island was made by volcanic explosions a long, long time ago. Therefore, island itself has several mountains and they are good place to trail except winter time. If you are out of shape, it might be a good idea to hike one of them. Plus, you will find many fresh seafood in different areas, if you like fish. Even if you are not good at raw fish, you can enjoy other cooking styles. Of course, you have another choice such as pork and beef. Those meats are also delicious and prices are much cheaper than Seoul. |

We are going to exhibit at KSM 2022 in Jeju, Korea in the beginning of November. We will be there with our Korean partner SIMS. We will show our diamond knives including brand-new items to visitors. As you might know, Jeju is a small island in the south of Korea. It is much warmer than the main Korean peninsula and the island is called “Hawaii in Korea.” |
As you might know, this kind of academic conferences’ situation has to be changed since this pandemic has begun.
We also exhibited in the previous KSM in June, 2018. We have developed 4 more unique diamond knives.
We haven’t visited Korea itself due to COVID-19 since November 2019.
It means this is the first time introducing our new items for Korean EM researchers after we are coming back to the normal world.
We will display knives and other items at our booth. You will see and touch our products by yourself.
We really look forward to seeing you guys again in Jeju!

Microscopy meeting in Brno, Czech Republic was done and dusted.
Meeting itself had around 700 attendees and we had more than 65 visitors at our booth. Many people were interested in our unique knives such as MGH, JUMBO, JUMBO WT, GHP and Marking knife. It is not a knife but Karate Groover was quite popular among visitors. It was much more than we expected. You may like it, too. |

“Luckily” almost all of the visitors didn’t know about our diamond knives until they saw ours. It is very promising news for us because if people don’t know our products, it means we have plenty of potential customers, especially in European countries. As you know some of them are fanatic existing knives’ fans. We understand this tendency. On the other hand, some others have been searching for new knife manufacturers due to dissatisfaction with their usage. They probably don’t like this monopoly business situation. If there are several competitors, the market will grow with new and developed products. It is not only for this EM field but also it is true of all markets. Competitions make us better. We really would like to metabolize this EM market by our diamonds. |

Syntek will exhibit our knives and other tools at 16MCM that will be held in Brno, Czech Republic soon. *16MCM stands for 16th Multinational Congress on Microscopy Session starts on Sun. 4th until Fri. 8th in September, 2022. |
We are planning to introduce several new items for electron microscopy in there.
We wish we could tell the details on this news page, however it is a secret until then. Sorry about that.
In any case our new items will definitely help you a lot.

As we announced you before, we exhibited at “NEURO 2022” in Okinawa from Thursday 30th of June to Sunday 3rd of July. The place had much more people than we expected. Approximately there were around 2,500 people, we guess. That number is very rare after this COVID-19 pandemic started. You may say this is the new hope of coming back to normal life. Hope not this would be “fear of normal.” |

About the conference, we just feel that not many people haven’t use SEM or TEM on his/her research yet. We didn’t watch every presentation and posters, but there are some tendencies at this moment. We are not sure this specific reason, because we are not specialist in this field. Nevertheless, if you use diamond knives for making ultra-thin sections, they are not microns, just nanometers, you will find another world, we believe. You may have some theories, however if you follow ready-made ideas, you won’t get over the past. Walk on the wild side and reach the frontier! |

We are going to exhibit at NEURO 2022 in Naha, Okinawa soon. We will display our diamond knives including brand-new item. This event is a parallel symposium of 3 different Japanese Neuro meetings that are “Japan Neuroscience Society”, “Japanese Society for Neurochemistry” and “Japanese Neural Network Society.” Normally those 3 meeting are held different timing each, however we are going 3 events at the same time and same place. |
As you might know, this kind of academic conferences’ situation has to be changed since this pandemic has begun.
Same as the other events, sometimes it had to be postponed, cancelled, or 100% digital going. You may say these 3 years as the dark ages if you look back across time in the future.
In any case, it would be great to come together for a reunion this year, especially at one of the most beautiful places in Japan, especially summer time!
Our border has been opened since in the beginning of June for foreign people finally.

If you ordered our knives recently, you might realize it, but we will announce you that we just changed the box of our knives since April, 2022. Once you mouse over to the left photo, you will see the new black one. This new box is tougher and more luxurious than our previous model. |
The new box itself is made by 10 mm thickness of heavy paper and inside is pressed with urethane.
Both of them hold and protect your knife perfectly during the delivery.
Even if you drop the box off from your desk of shelf, we hope not that situation is happened, knife will have no damage.
Plus, we put the hinge on the opening area. Now you can open it easily and safely.
Our old box was made by plastic with transparent color for seeing which type of knife is in inside.
We are supposed to say it was convenient for distinguishing, Ultra, Histo, Cryo and Trim.
All headaches are gone to somewhere. Now you can use our knife without any issues!

Almost all Japanese companies will be closed from in the end of April until 1st week of May. As you might know, we call this period as “Golden-Week”. This year it starts on Friday 29th (National Holiday) and it ends on Sunday 8th of May. Generally, Monday 2nd and Friday 6th of May are operating days, but many people take off those 2 days (by AWL/PTO/LWP) and get 10 days continuous holidays. *From Tuesday 3rd to Thursday 5th are National Holidays, too. |
In our case, we will be open above 2 days (Mon. 2nd and Fri. 4th), but the other days will be closed both office and factory.
All banks, couriers and customs clearance will not work during then.
If you need any items urgently, we recommend you will order before those holidays start.
*Means until Thursday 28th of April, but Wednesday 27th is better.
Even if you give us emails or phone calls while we are closed, we will take care of you after Monday 9th of May.
